Nono - Mindo 1 Day Bike Tour

Ecuador offers a wide variety of routes for the mountain bike enthusiast. The geographic diversity of the country makes it an ideal destination for those with an adventurous spirit. The Nono - Mindo trail, also known as the EcoRuta (EcoRoute) - is very popular for both bird lovers and adventurous types since it combines both of these in one area.  During the tour we will descend into a wonderful cloud forest from beautiful Pichincha and visit a spectacular canyon in the town of Tandayapa.

The tour is perfect for nature lovers and experienced bikers alike. Along this adventurous journey, we will go through a variety of different ecological zones and experience various micro-climates.  The tour concludes with a visit to one of the most famous attractions in Mindo, the butterfly farm where you will encounter hundreds of different species of stunning, native butterflies.

The tour itself starts in the Yanacocha Reserve with a 10 km descent until we arrive at Nono, where we will challenge your suspension as we travel briefly on a cobblestone road. After that, enjoy a 25 km decent making sure to save enough strength for the next ascent at Bellavista.  At times it seems you're on a never-ending road, but you will not have to worry since we will have a vehicle traveling behind you, just in case you get a bit tired!

After working hard to make it up the final slope, you will enjoy the last descent and arrive at Calacali Road - La Independencia and travel for 1.5 km until we reach the entrance to Mindo. From there, after a 6 km decent, we will reach our destination.
